central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and
early evening. Severe weather is not expected, though lightning is a
risk with any storms. Funnel clouds are possible, especially over
eastern IL.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon. Confidence
is low on storm development, but the environment would favor large
hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes if storms do form.
Scattered thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening,
primarily over eastern and southeast IL.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Fog Risk near Lake Michigan tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are possible this
afternoon and evening with the greatest coverage expected in
northwest Indiana. Possible hazards include lightning, localized
downpours, and gusty winds with any storms that develop.
Fog, locally dense, is expected to develop over southern Lake
Michigan today and may move inland near the lake this evening
and overnight. The highest chance for patchy dense fog will be
along the Illinois shore.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Fog Risk near Lake Michigan.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may develop ahead of a cold
front late Thursday afternoon. If thunderstorms develop, some will
likely become severe with damaging hail being the greatest threat.
On Friday, strong west-southwest winds and very warm and dry
conditions will result in an elevated to potentially significant
fire danger.

Scattered slow moving showers and isolated thunderstorms are
possible this afternoon and into the evening. Locally heavy
rainfall and lightning are the primary threats.

There is the potential for thunderstorms late Wednesday night into
Thursday. There is a risk for isolated severe storms east of a
Independence to Moline to Galesburg line. Stay tuned to the

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will bring heavy
rains and brief gusty winds mainly this afternoon.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Scattered showers and storms will continue Wednesday as the slow-
moving system over us today finally starts pushing northeast away
from the region.
A couple of waves of strong to severe storms are possible Thursday
evening/early Friday and then again Friday afternoon through the
overnight. The main threats Thursday night will be brief gusty winds
as well as heavy rain and frequent lightning. In addition to these
threats, the second wave Friday could bring hail and isolated
tornadoes.

Spotter activation is not expected today.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Storms this afternoon will move from south to north at 5 to 10 mph.
