...FLOODING RAINS POSSIBLE ACROSS CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND SOUTHERN
INDIANA...

.A PERIOD OF MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED
FROM TONIGHT THROUGH MIDDAY WEDNESDAY. RAINFALL TOTALS OVER 2 INCHES ARE
LIKELY BEFORE THE CHANGEOVER TO SNOW ON WEDNESDAY...ESPECIALLY
ALONG AND NORTH OF THE WESTERN KENTUCKY AND BLUEGRASS PARKWAYS.
THIS RAINFALL ON GROUND ALREADY SATURATED FROM RECENT SNOW MELT
WILL RESULT IN FLOODING OF LOW-LYING AREAS.

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN INDIANA AND ALL OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

* THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

* HEAVY RAINFALL OF AN INCH AND A HALF TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES
  ON SOILS SATURATED FROM RECENT SNOW MELT.

* FLOODING OF LOW-LYING AND POORLY DRAINED AREAS IS LIKELY.
  MINOR FLOODING ON SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE

* MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT THE WATCH AREA TONIGHT INTO
  WEDNESDAY MORNING. ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE ACROSS
  THE WATCH AREA BEFORE RAIN CHANGES TO SNOW THROUGH THE DAY ON
  WEDNESDAY. WITH PLENTY OF SNOW ON THE GROUND AND FROZEN
  SOILS...RUNOFF FROM THE RAINFALL COULD BE SIGNIFICANT AND LEAD
  TO WIDESPREAD FLOODING OF POORLY DRAINED AREAS...LOW LYING
  AREAS...SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND SOME RIVERS.
