...WINDY CONDITIONS TO CONTINUE THROUGH TODAY BEFORE GRADUALLY
SUBSIDING LATER TONIGHT...

.WINDS ARE BEGINNING TO VEER TO THE SOUTHEAST AS A STRONG AUTUMN
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TAKES SHAPE WEST OF THE AREA. COASTAL AND BUOY
OBSERVATIONS CONFIRM THE WINDS HAVE BEEN OVER 20 KNOTS OVER MUCH
OF THE COASTAL WATERS...WITH FREQUENT GALE FORCE GUSTS OCCURRING
MAINLY TO THE WEST OF THE OCHLOCKONEE RIVER. THE WINDS WILL VEER
FURTHER TO THE SOUTH TODAY...WITH SIMILAR WIND CONDITIONS
PERSISTING INTO THE AFTERNOON. WINDS WILL BEGIN TO SUBSIDE LATER
THIS AFTERNOON...BUT SEAS WILL TAKE LONGER TO SUBSIDE BELOW
ADVISORY LEVELS OVER MUCH OF THE COASTAL WATERS.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 20 TO 33 KNOTS...
AND/OR SEAS 7 FEET OR HIGHER...ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HAZARDOUS
WAVE CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.

MID MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY TODAY. AS THIS OCCURS...STRONG EAST TO
SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST AND INCREASE. FREQUENT WIND
GUSTS TO GALE FORCE ARE LIKELY THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY TODAY OVER
THE OPEN ALABAMA AND NORTHWEST FLORIDA COASTAL WATERS. HIGH SEAS CONTINUE.

WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM CST
THIS EVENING. THE GALE WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* WINDS: SOUTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 25 KNOTS EARLY BECOMING SOUTH TO
  SOUTHWEST 20 TO 30 KNOTS THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. FREQUENT WIND
  GUSTS TO GALE FORCE LIKELY TODAY.

* SEAS: 6 TO 9 FEET NEAR SHORE AND 8 TO 11 FEET WELL OFFSHORE. THE
  HIGHEST OF THE SEAS LOOK TO RESIDE 20 TO 60 NAUTICAL MILES
  OFFSHORE.
