  Altamaha River At Baxley affecting Appling...Tattnall...Toombs and
  Wayne Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...And be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property. Do not drive cars through flooded areas. If you
see flood waters...Remember to turn around and do not drown.

* from Saturday afternoon until further notice...Or until the warning
  is cancelled.
* At  7:45 PM Friday the stage was 73.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 74.5 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 76.0 feet by Wednesday early afternoon.
  additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 74.5 feet...Minor flooding of timber and agricultural
  land can be expected.

* From early Sunday morning until further notice.
* At 10 PM Friday the stage was 11.2 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by early Sunday morning and
  continue to rise to near 12.7 feet by early Tuesday morning.
* At 13 feet...Minor flooding of lowlands adjacent to the river
  continue to expand into the flood plain. Flooding of the nearby
  park and parking lot at the Abbeville boat ramp also expands.

* Forecast: The river will continue rising to near 16.2 feet by
  Saturday morning.
* Impact: At 15.0 feet: Minor lowland flooding begins. This level is
  the top of the bank at the marina.

* At 14.0 feet, flooding of several riverside unimproved roads and
  some agricultural land occurs.

* Forecast, the river will rise to near 12.0 feet by early Saturday
  morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday night.
* At 11.0 feet, several homes along Parker Springs Road in Canoochee
  Properties become flooded.

* At  8:30 AM Friday the stage was 12.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast: Rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
  to rise to near 15.2 feet by tomorrow evening. The river will fall
  below flood stage by Sunday early afternoon.
* Impact: At 15.0 feet: Minor flooding begins. Langdale Park floods.

* At  8:45 AM Friday the stage was 11.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast: Rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and continue
  to rise to near 13.3 feet by Sunday morning. The river will fall
  below flood stage by Sunday afternoon.
* Impact: At 13.0 feet: Minor flooding begins at Dawson. Flooding may
  also affect areas downstream near Leesburg.
