HERE IS A SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE...

VERY DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS
MOST OF WEST VIRGINIA...CREATING AN ELEVATED WILDFIRE DANGER.
ALTHOUGH WINDS WILL REMAIN MUCH LIGHTER THAN YESTERDAY.

OPEN BURNING OF ANY TYPE IS CONSIDERED DANGEROUS AT THIS
TIME...AND OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE AVOIDED. IN ADDITION...BE
VERY CAREFUL OF HEAT AND SPARKS WHILE OPERATING ANY EQUIPMENT
OUTDOORS...AND AVOID SMOKING IN WILDLAND AREAS. DO NOT DISCARD
CIGARETTE BUTTS ALONG ROADWAYS OR INTO GRASSY OR BRUSH FILLED
AREAS.

VIRGINIA STATE LAW PROHIBITS OUTDOOR BURNING BETWEEN THE HOURS OF
MIDNIGHT AND 4 PM FROM FEBRUARY 15TH THROUGH APRIL 30TH.
