...NORTHWARD MOVING STORMS FOUND SOUTH OF THE KEYS...

AT 330 AM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A WIDE AREA OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES
SOUTH OF TENNESSEE REEF...SOMBRERO KEY...AND AMERICAN SHOAL LIGHTS.
MOTION OF THIS ACTIVITY IS CONSISTENTLY NORTHWARD AT AROUND 15 KNOTS.

THROUGH 530 AM... MARINERS ON THE ATLANTIC WATERS SOUTH OF THE MIDDLE
AND LOWER KEYS SHOULD PREPARE FOR THESE STORMS. THE STRONGEST
ACTIVITY MAY CREATE WIND GUSTS TO 30 KNOTS...OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING
STRIKES...LOCALLY ROUGH SEAS...AND BLINDING DOWNPOURS WITH REDUCED
VISIBILITY TO 1 MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

THUNDERSTORMS POSE A VARIETY OF THREATS TO BOATER SAFETY FROM BOTH
GUSTY WINDS AND LIGHTNING. YOUR BEST COURSE OF ACTION DURING
THUNDERSTORMS IS TO SEEK SAFE HARBOR...BUT IF YOU ARE CAUGHT ON THE
OPEN WATER...STAY BELOW DECK...IF POSSIBLE...AND AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED
METAL OBJECTS.
