...FLOOD WATCH TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...

A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING RAIN AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...WITH THE MOST
NUMEROUS SHOWERS EXPECTED TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE...AND THE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL FROM MAY CAUSE
FLOODING.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING THROUGH
MONDAY AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RAPID CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH DAKOTA AND NORTHEASTERN
  WYOMING...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...THE BLACK HILLS AND
  THE ADJACENT FOOTHILLS...THE PLAINS TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF THE
  BLACK HILLS...AND ALSO SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND SOUTHERN
  CAMPBELL COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN WYOMING.

* FROM 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON

* STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES ARE
  EXPECTED AT MANY LOCATIONS...ESPECIALLY FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT
  THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON. SOME AREAS ALONG THE EASTERN SLOPES OF
  THE BLACK HILLS...AND OVER FAR SOUTHERN CAMPBELL COUNTY IN
  NORTHEASTERN WYOMING...COULD RECEIVE AROUND 2 INCHES OF RAIN BY
  MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* CREEKS AND STREAMS IN MANY LOCATIONS ARE STILL RUNNING HIGH FROM
  THE RECENT STORMS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE
  BLACK HILLS AND OVER SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA. THE ADDITIONAL
  RAINFALL MAY CAUSE MORE FLOODING FOR THOSE AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ALONG RIVERS AND
CREEKS IN THE WATCH AREA...BUT IS NOT IMMINENT. IF YOU ARE IN THE
WATCH AREA...TAKE TIME TO MOVE LIVESTOCK...EQUIPMENT...AND OTHER
PROPERTY FROM LOW LYING AREAS BEFORE FLOODING OCCURS. MONITOR
NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND LOCAL MEDIA FOR UPDATED FORECASTS AND BE
READY TO QUICKLY MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF RISING WATER LEVELS ARE
OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
