...REMAINING WINDY THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON FOR THE FOUR STATE AREA
LASTING UNTIL AROUND SUNSET...THEN AFTER WINDS ABATE TEMPERATURES
WILL FALL WITH A FREEZE LATE TONIGHT UNTIL 8 TO 9 AM ON SATURDAY.

.COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL SPREAD SOUTH INTO THE REGION RESULTING IN
FREEZING TEMPERATURES FOR MUCH OF THE INTERSTATE 30 CORRIDOR AND
NORTH TO INCLUDE SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...NORTHEAST TEXAS AND ALL OF
SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS.

* EVENT...COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL SPREAD INTO THE FOUR STATE AREA
  TODAY PROVIDING A STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT RESULTING IN STRONG
  AND GUSTY WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH.

* TIMING...THROUGH 7 PM CDT.

* IMPACT...ROUGH CHOP CAN BE EXPECTED ON AREA LAKES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE WIND ADVISORY INDICATES THAT WINDS WILL CAUSE ROUGH CHOP
ON AREA LAKES. SMALL BOATS WILL BE ESPECIALLY PRONE TO CAPSIZING.
