URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE

...A HARD FREEZE EXPECTED SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNINGS...

.A CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION TONIGHT
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING ALLOWING MUCH COLDER AIR TO SETTLE OVER THE
REGION.

SEVERAL HOURS OF AT OR BELOW 32 DEGREES ARE LIKELY...WITH LOW
TEMPERATURES DROPPING INTO THE 20S ACROSS THE FREEZE WARNING AND WATCH
AREAS. COLDER LOW TEMPERATURES...IN THE TEENS...WILL OCCUR OVER
THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS. HOWEVER...NO BERRIES ARE GROWING IN THOSE
LOCATIONS...NOR ARE FRUIT TREES BLOOMING AT THIS TIME.

...FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MORRISTOWN HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ TO 11 AM
EDT /10 AM CDT/ SATURDAY. A FREEZE WATCH HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED.
THIS FREEZE WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING. THE FREEZE WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* EVENT...A HARD FREEZE EXPECTED WITH LOWS IN THE 20S TONIGHT AND
  SATURDAY NIGHT.

* TIMING...TEMPERATURES FALLING BELOW 32 DEGREES BETWEEN MIDNIGHT
  AND MID-MORNING BOTH TONIGHT AND SATURDAY NIGHT. TEMPERATURES
  WILL REMAIN BELOW FREEZING FROM 2 TO 5 HOURS EACH NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...THE PROLONGED PERIOD OF FREEZING TEMPERATURES COULD
  KILL STRAWBERRY PLANTS...AND DAMAGE THE BLOOMS OF ANY FRUIT
  TREES IN THE WARNING AND WATCH AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED OR
OCCURRING. THESE CONDITIONS MAY KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE
VEGETATION THAT ARE LEFT UNPROTECTED.

A FREEZE WATCH MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE.
THESE CONDITIONS COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION
THAT ARE LEFT UNPROTECTED.
