VALLEYS FOR GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS AND VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...

FRIDAY AFTERNOON OVER THE LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTY
MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS FOR GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS AND VERY LOW
RELATIVE HUMIDITY...

.SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE FORMING OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL BRING
GUSTY OFFSHORE FLOW TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THESE NORTHEAST WINDS
HAVE ALREADY FORMED OVER INTERIOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY...AND WILL
PUSH DOWN INTO THE VALLEY AND COASTAL SECTIONS TONIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY. WINDS ARE GENERALLY EXPECTED TO BE OF THE 15 TO 25 MPH
WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH VARIETY...BUT WILL BE LOCALLY STRONGER.
MEANWHILE A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD OVER
CALIFORNIA...BRINGING HOT AND VERY DRY CONDITIONS TO THE REGION
WITH HUMIDITIES AROUND 10 PERCENT OVER MOST AREAS BY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON. AS A RESULT...WIDESPREAD CRITICAL CONDITIONS ARE
LIKELY OVER MUCH OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES ON
THURSDAY...ESPECIALLY THE VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS.

CONDITIONS WILL BECOME HOTTER AND DRIER THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY...BUT THE WINDS WILL WEAKEN EACH DAY. THERE IS A CHANCE
