* URBAN AND ARROYO FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  SOUTH CENTRAL DONA ANA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO...

* UNTIL 1015 PM MDT

* AT 809 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHED ACROSS SOUTHERN DONA ANA COUNTY
  INTO WEST EL PASO. THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ALONG THIS
  LINE... AND RADAR ESTIMATES UP TO 1 INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE
  PAST HOUR IN A VERY NARROW BAND FROM WEST EL PASO INTO NORTHERN
  PARTS OF SANTA TERESA.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  SANTA TERESA...

RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
OCCUR...ESPECIALLY IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND ALONG ARROYOS AND LOW
WATER CROSSINGS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF
URBAN DRAINAGE BASINS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS
OTHER POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING AREAS.

...URBAN AND ARROYO FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR WEST CENTRAL
EL PASO COUNTY UNTIL 915 PM MDT...

AT 759 PM MDT...A BROKEN LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO TRAIL
BACK INTO A SMALL AREA OF WEST EL PASO AND THE UPPER VALLEY. RADAR
INDICATES JUST UNDER 1 INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN A NARROW CORRIDOR
SOUTH OF TRANSMOUNTAIN ROAD AND NORTH OF MESA STREET. TRAFFIC CAMS
INDICATE SOME AREAS OF PONDING ON AREA ROADWAYS...BUT LOCALIZED
FLOODING MAY OCCUR IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

THIS LINE ALSO STRETCHES INTO SANTA TERESA NEW MEXICO...BUT SO FAR
RAINFALL AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN UNDER A HALF INCH IN THIS AREA. THE
ADVISORY MAY NEED TO BE EXTENDED WESTWARD IF THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE
TO REDEVELOP OVER THE SAME AREA.
