* UNTIL 530 PM MDT

* AT 335 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. DOPPLER
  RADAR ESTIMATED 0.75 TO 1.25 INCHES OF RAIN ACROSS PARTS OF THE AREA
  IN THE PAST HOUR.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  TULAROSA...
  BURRO FLATS...
  LA LUZ...

RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OR NORMALLY
DRY ARROYOS...SMALL STREAMS AND AT LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
ADVISORY AREA.

LOW WATER CROSSINGS ARE DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
TRAVEL ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. IT ONLY TAKES A FEW INCHES OF SWIFTLY
FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF
URBAN DRAINAGE BASINS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS
OTHER POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING AREAS.
