...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 300 PM CST THIS
AFTERNOON FOR THE PERMIAN BASIN AND WESTERN LOW ROLLING PLAINS...

.Light freezing rain and sleet are expected across the Permian
Basin and western Low Rolling Plains this morning into the
afternoon. Light ice accumulations will form on power lines,
vehicles, and other elevated surfaces first, then on bridges and
overpasses. In addition, thunderstorms will change precipitation
to sleet at times. Generally less than one inch of sleet is
expected, but locations affected by thunderstorms could see an
inch or two of sleet accumulate. Driving conditions will likely
deteriorate through daybreak, then remain hazardous through the
morning, especially over the northern Permian Basin and western
Low Rolling Plains where temperatures will be colder.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Freezing rain and sleet. Ice accumulations around one
  tenth of an inch or less are expected. Sleet accumulation will
  generally be less than an inch, but locations affected by
  thunderstorms could see an inch or two of sleet accumulation.

* WHERE...The Permian Basin and western Low Rolling Plains.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM CST this afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in very slippery
  conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges. In addition, ice
  laden power lines could result in power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest road

.With temperatures well below freezing and moderate precipitation
to occur into the afternoon hours, significant ice accumulation
will be possible across the Big Country. This will include
Sweetwater, Abilene, and Interstate-20.

* WHAT...Freezing rain. Ice accumulations of one tenth to one
  quarter of an inch.

* WHERE...Locations along and north of a line from Mertzon, to
  Eden, to Brownwood. This includes San Angelo and Brownwood.

* WHEN...Through 6 PM Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ice will accumulate on elevated surfaces
  such has bridges and overpasses. Sidewalks and outside
  stairwells may become slick.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain means periods of
freezing rain are imminent or occurring. freezing rain may cause
driving to become extremely dangerous...so be prepared to use
caution when traveling.

* WHERE...Southern and eastern South Plains, all of the Rolling
  Plains and the far southeast Texas Panhandle.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM today. Sleet will spread northeast across the
  advisory area this morning, then diminish from west to east
  this afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for hazardous travel at times.
