PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The next River Statement will be issued Friday morning or sooner if conditions
warrant.

For graphical river and flood information...please go to
www.weather.gov and click near Memphis on the map. Then select Rivers
and Lakes AHPS under current conditions.

Do not drive through flooded areas...turn around don`t drown.

* until Sunday February 25.
* At 08 PM Thursday the stage was 363.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 365.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 363.2 feet Friday February
  23.
* At 364.0 feet...In Perry County, evacuation road to boat launch and
  camping area at end of Deer Creek Lake Road begins to flood.

  Counties

. The Tennessee River at Clifton will remain above action stage until further
notice due to ongoing rainfall and upstream water releases.

  The Tennessee River At Clifton
* Until further notice.
* Flood stage is 370.0 feet.
* At 369.0 feet...In Decatur County, water inundates Scenic Lane in the Russ
  Farm area, cutting off all access to riverfront homes in the area.
* At 368.0 feet...In Perry County, water reaches the low lying portions of
  access roads in the Peters Landing area.
* At 367.0 feet...In Wayne County, water inundates the boat launch areas and
  portions of access roads in the Beech Lake Campground on Beech Lake Road.
* At 366.0 feet...In Hardin County, water inundates low lying agricultural areas
  and access roads in the Cobb Farm area of Nance Bend, including Senator Cobb
  Road and Colonel Hardin Road.
* At 365.0 feet...In Decatur County, low lying areas of the Riverstone Marina
  become inundated.
* At 364.5 feet...In Decatur County, water begins to inundate portions of Scenic
  Lane in the Russ Farm area and access may be limited to some houses along the
  river.
* At 364.0 feet...In Wayne County, in the Beech Creek area water begins to
  inundate low lying areas on the north end of Beechview Drive and the Beech
  Lake Campground on Beech Lake Road. In Hardin County, water begins to inundate
  the low lying areas of Cobb Farm in Nance Bend.

  The Buffalo River Near Lobelville
* Until Sunday evening.
* At 06AM Friday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* The river will continue to rise to near 12.4 feet by tomorrow morning.
* At 14.0 feet...Gilmer Bridge Rd and Russell Creek Rd begin to flood. Leeper
  Bottom and Qualls Bend Rd become flooded as well. Water approaches portions of
  Highway 438 south of Lobelville near Beardstown.
* At 12.0 feet...Portions of secondary roads near Old Highway 13 are inundated.
* At 10.0 feet...Water inundates low lying areas and agricultural land along the
  river.

  Cumberland River At Clarksville AFFECTING Montgomery County

. The Cumberland River at Clarksville has gone above action stage due to
the recent moderate to heavy rainfall. With more moderate to heavy rainfall
expected...it will go above and fall below action stage for the next several days.

The Flood Advisory continues for
  The Cumberland River At Clarksville
* Until late tonight.
* At 06AM Friday the stage was 41.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 46.0 feet.
* The river will continue to rise to near 43.2 feet by Monday evening.
* The river will continue to fall to near 37.8 feet by tomorrow morning.
* At 45.0 feet...Water approaches commercial and industrial properties on South
  Riverside Dr near TN-48, North Riverside Dr near Providence Blvd East, Quarry
  Rd, Kraft St near College St, and Zinc Plant Rd. Water also continues to
  inundate agricultural areas and parks along the river, and adjacent
  tributaries including Bartons Creek, Red River, West Fork Red River, and
  Yellow Creek.
* At 43.0 feet...Water continues to inundate low lying areas along the river,
  including agricultural areas, access points, portions of Riverfront Park on
  North Riverside Drive, and low lying areas of industrial property on Zinc
  Plant Rd. Water also backs up adjacent tributaries, including Bartons Creek,
  Red River, West Fork Red River, and Yellow Creek.
* At 40.0 feet...Low lying areas along the river, including agricultural areas,
  access points, and portions of Riverfront Park on North Riverside Dr begin to
  be inundated. Water also backs up adjacent tributaries, including Bartons
  Creek, Red River, West Fork Red River, and Yellow Creek.

Advisory continues for
  The Black River At Pocahontas.
* until this evening.
* At  6:00 AM Friday the stage was 14.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.4 feet by Saturday.
  However, additional rainfall is expected over the weekend which could
  push the crest higher. Continue to monitor latest forecasts for any
  updates.
