The Flood Warning continues for the Tennessee River at Savannah.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A followup Flood Statement will be issued Sunday morning.

For graphical river and flood information...please go to
www.weather.gov and click near Memphis on the map. Then select Rivers
and Lakes AHPS under current conditions.

Do not drive through flooded areas...turn around don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Tennessee River at Savannah
* until Saturday February 24.
* At 8 PM Saturday the stage was 375.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring AND Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 375.9 feet on Sunday February 18.
* Flood stage is 370.0 feet.
* At 376.0 feet...Wilkinson Ferry Drive is flooded near the river.
  Resort lots by the edge of the Tennessee River are beginning to
  flood along Wilkinson Ferry Drive across from Saltillo. Access to
  Bridgeview Estates from the northeast is cutoff due to flooding
  just south of Highway 64. Evacuation route from the camper sites on
  the south end of Riverside Lane in Crump is flooding. Water on
  Coffee Landing Road is just north of Lemert Road.

* At 11.5 feet...Farmland near the river is flooded.

.Due to rainfall over the past several days across the lower Ohio
River basin, water levels continue to slowly rise. Minor flood
conditions will persist, or develop, with the forecast crests
occurring next weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

* At 9 PM Saturday the stage was 38.8 feet.
* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Tuesday morning and crest
  near 42.0 feet next weekend.
* Impact...At 40.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  agricultural bottomland and low lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive or walk through areas where water covers roadway! The
water may be deeper than it appears. Remember...Turn around, don`t
drown!

Forecasts are based on rainfall that has occurred and that which is
forecast to occur. Routine 24 hours of forecast rainfall is used for
most sites. Routine 48 hours of forecast rainfall is used on Tibbee
Creek...Luxapallila Creek...Noxubee River...and the Tombigbee River.

The next regularly scheduled update is expected between 8 and 10 AM.

* At  6:00 PM Saturday the stage was 23.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue falling and will fall below
  flood stage Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet...Farm roads to catfish ponds become
  inundated.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet...Field west of river begins to flood.

depth of water is not always obvious. As little as two feet of water
will carry most cars away. Also...The road bed may be washed out
under the water...and you could be stranded or trapped.

* At 2 PM Saturday the stage was 17.8 feet and will be rising back to
  flood stage shortly.
* Flood Stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above Flood Stage by late this evening. The river has already
  crested earlier in the week. It will remain near 18.0 feet for the next few days.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.3 feet
  on Sep 7 2011.
