  The Swift Creek Near Streets Ferry.

* At 8 PM Wednesday the stage was 4.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring, and river levels have been slowly
  falling over the last 24 hours.
* Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
* Impact...At 4.0 feet...Water will overflow banks and begin to
  threaten a few homes along Streets Ferry Road just south of the
  creek. Streets Ferry Road starts to flood.

  nearly steady over the past 24 hours.
* Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
* Impact...At 5.0 feet...Water will begin to threaten a few homes in
  Hughs Plantation Farms and Trent Acres on the north side of the
  river.

* Impact...At 16.0 feet...Widespread low land flooding adjacent to the
  river. Some farmland will begin to flood across Pitt County.

  Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Water will begin to threaten homes
  downstream in Grifton and Tick Bite. Some secondary roads mainly on
  the south side of the creek in Lenoir County will flood.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.0 feet by
  early Friday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Widespread low land flooding is likely
  adjacent to the river. Water will begin to approach some secondary
  roads over the southeast sections of Kinston. Residents who live in
  flood prone areas near the river should begin to move property to
  higher ground.

* Impact...At 19.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. The Riverside Park and
  River Road at the US64 bridge flood.

* At  7:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 14.48 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 13.7 feet by Friday
  morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Floodwaters cause portions of Shaw Highway to be closed
  between Carl Meeks Road and Lillington Lane. White Stocking Road is also
  closed from Chorley Road to Mack Williams Lane. Flooding worsens on Highways
  210 and 53 but roads remain open.
