...NORTH GALES AND VERY HIGH WAVES TODAY INTO TONIGHT...

.STRONG LOW PRESSURE TO THE EAST OF THE REGION WILL BRING
NORTHERLY GALES TO LAKE MICHIGAN FOR TODAY INTO TONIGHT. THE
ALONG SHORE DIRECTION OF THE STRONG WINDS WILL BUILD VERY HIGH
WAVES THROUGHOUT THE NEARSHORE WATERS. HIGH WAVES WILL GRADUALLY
SUBSIDE THROUGH SATURDAY.

  TOWARD OPEN WATERS. WAVES WILL SLOWLY SUBSIDE THROUGH SATURDAY.

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES

RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE

  AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING...DROPPING BELOW GALE FORCE BY
  LATE EVENING.

* WAVES...THE HIGHEST WAVES OF 6 TO 10 FEET ARE EXPECTED TODAY.
  WAVES TONIGHT WILL SUBSIDE TO 2 TO 4 FEET ON THE BAY AND 3 TO
  6 FEET ON LAKE MICHIGAN.

PREPARE FOR VERY STRONG WINDS AND DANGEROUS SEA CONDITIONS...AND
CONSIDER REMAINING IN PORT OR TAKING SHELTER IN PORT UNTIL WINDS
AND WAVES SUBSIDE.
