...STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS FOR SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA ON WEDNESDAY...

.A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA FOR WEDNESDAY. THE ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT
FROM 11 AM TO 6 PM CDT AND COVERS AN AREA ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE
FROM MORRIS TO OLIVIA TO NEW ULM TO FAIRMONT. SOUTHEAST WINDS ARE
FORECAST TO INCREASE TO 30 TO 35 MPH BY LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING AND
PERSIST THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH ARE ALSO
EXPECTED. THE STRONG WINDS ARE IN ADVANCE OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
MOVING INTO THE PLAINS.

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST AT 30 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES. LOOSE OUTDOOR OBJECTS...SUCH AS TRASH CANS
  AND LAWN FURNITURE MAY BE BLOWN AROUND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 39 MPH OR
GUSTS BETWEEN 45 AND 57 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN
MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.

* TIMING...SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL ALREADY BE BREEZY TO START THE
  MORNING AND BY MID MORNING WILL TO CONTINUE TO INCREASE. THE
  STRONGEST WINDS WILL ONLY GRADUALLY DIMINISH THROUGH THE EVENING
  HOURS.

* WEATHER CONDITIONS...SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL AVERAGE 25 TO 35 MPH
  WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 45 MPH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE
31 TO 39 MPH OR GUSTS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 46 AND 57 MPH.  WINDS OF
THESE MAGNITUDES MAY CAUSE MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE WITHOUT EXTRA
PRECAUTIONS. MOTORISTS IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD USE
CAUTION UNTIL THE WINDS SUBSIDE.
