URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE

915 PM CDT FRI SEP 4 2015

...A PROLONGED PERIOD OF AREAS OF DENSE FOG ON THE NEARSHORE
WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN THROUGH AT LEAST SATURDAY EVENING...

.A WARM...MOIST AIR MASS MOVING OVER THE COOLER NEAR SHORE WATERS
OF LAKE MICHIGAN...WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE AREAS OF DENSE
FOG...PARTICULARLY SOUTH OF STURGEON BAY. THE STATE OF THE FOG
WILL BE VARIABLE...AND THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN THE VISIBILITY
IMPROVES...ESPECIALLY DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS.
HOWEVER...THE CURRENT WEATHER PATTERN...AND WITH IT THE POTENTIAL
FOR DENSE FOG...IS NOT EXPECTED TO CHANGE AT LEAST INTO SATURDAY
EVENING.

* VISIBILITY...UNDER ONE MILE...WITH SOME LOCATIONS UNDER 1/4
  MILE AT TIMES. SOME IMPROVEMENT IN VISIBILITIES ARE EXPECTED
  AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON
  HOURS.

* CONDITIONS REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR THE DENSE FOG TO LAST THROUGH
  THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEKEND...AND POTENTIALLY LONGER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE MILE. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
