HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * MODERATE TO HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
   TONIGHT.

 * WINDS NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR WILL CONTINUE TO GUST AS HIGH AS 45
   MPH NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR THROUGH THIS EVENING BEFORE GRADUALLY
   DIMINISHING TONIGHT. THIS WILL CONTINUE TO LEAD TO WHITE-OUT
   CONDITIONS ALONG M-28 EAST OF MARQUETTE THROUGH THIS EVENING.
   BLOWING SNOW IS ALSO EXPECTED AWAY FROM LAKE SUPERIOR WITH
   WINDS GUSTING TO 30 MPH.

 * ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT
   ARE EXPECTED TO BE 5 TO 10 INCHES...GREATEST OVER WESTERN
   ALGER COUNTY...WEST OF A LINE FROM MUNISING TO SHINGLETON.
   LOWER AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED SOUTHWEST OF
   TRENARY TO KIVA.

 * WIND CHILL READINGS WILL BE AS LOW AS 25 BELOW ZERO THIS
   AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT.

IMPACTS...

 * BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO LEAD TO VERY
   DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS TODAY AND TONIGHT. THE MICHIGAN
   STATE POLICE HAVE INFORMED THAT M-28 IS CLOSED BETWEEN
   KAWBAWGAM ROAD EAST OF HARVEY AND MUNISING. IF YOU BECOME
   STRANDED...YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO FACE BITTERLY COLD WIND
   CHILLS. AVOID TRAVEL IF POSSIBLE.

 * WIND CHILL VALUES TO 25 BELOW ZERO CAN LEAD TO FROST BITE ON
   EXPOSED SKIN IN AS LITTLE AS 15 MINUTES.

   HARVEY.

 * WINDS NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR WILL CONTINUE TO GUST AS HIGH AS 45
   MPH NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR EAST OF MARQUETTE THROUGH THIS EVENING
   BEFORE GRADUALLY DIMINISHING TONIGHT. THIS WILL CONTINUE TO
   LEAD TO WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS ALONG M-28 EAST OF MARQUETTE
   THROUGH THIS EVENING. AWAY FROM LAKE SUPERIOR... PATCHY
   BLOWING SNOW IS EXPECTED WITH WINDS GUSTING TO 25 MPH.

 * ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT
   ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN 3 AND 6 INCHES FOR LOCATIONS EAST
   OF A LINE FROM HARVEY TO CARLSHEND. THE REST OF NORTHWEST AND
   EASTERN MARQUETTE COUNTY WILL SEE ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF
   2 TO 3 INCHES...WITH AN INCH OR LESS EXPECTED SOUTH OF A LINE
   FROM CHAMPION TO ISHPEMING TO GWINN.

 * WIND CHILL READINGS WILL BE AS LOW AS 25 BELOW ZERO THIS
   AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT.
