  GUSTS UP TO 24 KNOTS. THE LARGEST EXPECTED SIGNIFICANT WAVES
  WILL BE 7 FEET WITH A MAXIMUM WAVE HEIGHT OF UP TO 10 FEET
  POSSIBLE.

* TIMING: THE MAXIMUM WINDS ARE EXPECTED AROUND 9 AM EDT
  THURSDAY WITH THE LARGEST WAVES EXPECTED AROUND 11 AM EDT
  THURSDAY.

FOR THE FAR NORTH SHORE AND FOR AREAS OF THE SOUTH SHORE EAST OF
BAYFIELD PENINSULA FOR TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

.A STRONG SPRING STORM SYSTEM WILL AFFECT THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES
REGION TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. A STRENGTHENING AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE WILL MOVE FROM NEAR MASON CITY IOWA THIS EVENING TO THE
EASTERN UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON. STRONG
EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL CONTINUE OVER WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR
OVERNIGHT IN RESPONSE TO THE APPROACHING STORM SYSTEM. THE
STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE NEAR THE HEAD OF THE LAKE AND ALONG THE
WESTERN SIDE OF BAYFIELD PENINSULA TO THE APOSTLE ISLANDS. THE
WINDS SHOULD GRADUALLY SUBSIDE LATE THIS EVENING INTO THURSDAY
MORNING.

PRESSURE SYSTEM. THE WINDS WILL PRODUCE HIGH WAVES ON LAKE
MICHIGAN ALONG WITH A CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW. THE GUSTY WINDS
AND HIGH WAVES WILL SLOWLY SUBSIDE LATE THURSDAY MORNING INTO THE
AFTERNOON.
