THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A COASTAL
FLOOD WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING.

* LOCATIONS...LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS ALONG WESTERN LONG ISLAND
  SOUND.

* TIDAL DEPARTURES...MOST LIKELY 3 TO 4 FT OF SURGE ABOVE
  ASTRONOMICAL TIDE. A LOW PROBABILITY OF 4 TO 4 1/2 FT SURGE
  ABOVE ASTRONOMICAL TIDE.

* TIMING...DURING THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE BETWEEN 3 AM AND 6 AM
  LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

* BEACH EROSION IMPACTS...2 TO 4 FT WAVES AND HIGH STORM TIDE WILL
  CAUSE BEACH EROSION ALONG NORTH FACING SHORELINES OPEN TO LONG
  ISLAND SOUND. A FEW EXPOSED WATER FRONT STRUCTURES MAY BE
  DAMAGED.

* COASTAL FLOODING IMPACTS...POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING OF VULNERABLE
  SHORE ROADS AND/OR BASEMENTS DUE TO HEIGHT OF STORM TIDE AND/OR
  WAVE ACTION. SEVERAL SHORE ROAD CLOSURES MAY BE NEEDED.

  SHORE BAYS OF NEW YORK CITY AND WESTERN LONG ISLAND.

* TIDAL DEPARTURES...MOST LIKELY 2 1/2 TO 3 FT SURGE ABOVE
  ASTRONOMICAL TIDE. A LOW PROBABILITY OF 3 1/2 FT SURGE ABOVE
  ASTRONOMICAL TIDE.

* TIMING...DURING THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE BETWEEN 1 AM AND 4 AM
  LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

* BEACH EROSION IMPACTS...SIGNIFICANT BEACH EROSION AND WASHOVERS
  ALONG OCEAN FACING BARRIER BEACHES OF LONG ISLAND DUE TO 10 TO
  15 FT WAVES AND HIGH STORM TIDE. A FEW EXPOSED WATER FRONT
  STRUCTURES MAY BE DAMAGED.

* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING OF VULNERABLE

* TIMING...DURING THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE BETWEEN 1 AM AND 7 AM
  LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

  ALONG OCEAN FACING BARRIER BEACHES OF EASTERN LONG ISLAND DUE TO
  10 TO 15 FT WAVES AND HIGH STORM TIDE. IN ADDITION...HIGH WAVE
  ACTION WILL CAUSE BEACH EROSION ALONG NORTH FACING SHORELINES WITH
  OPEN EXPOSURE TO LONG ISLAND SOUND AND GARDINERS BAYS. A FEW
  EXPOSED WATER FRONT STRUCTURES MAY BE DAMAGED.

* COASTAL FLOODING IMPACTS...POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING OF VULNERABLE
  SHORE ROADS AND/OR BASEMENTS DUE TO HEIGHT OF STORM TIDE AND/OR

AFTERNOON WILL PROGRESS EASTWARD AND IT WILL MOVE OFF THE MIDDLE
ATLANTIC COAST ON MONDAY. THE LOW WILL INTENSIFY RAPIDLY IS IT
MOVES NORTHEASTWARD, PASSING NEAR CAPE COD LATE ON TUESDAY BEFORE
REACHING NOVA SCOTIA ON WEDNESDAY.

FLOOD WATCH. IT IS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE
MONDAY NIGHT.

* LOCATION...COASTAL AREAS OF NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE, INCLUDING
  DELAWARE BAY.

* COASTAL FLOODING...MODERATE FLOODING IS ANTICIPATED AROUND THE
  TIME OF MONDAY NIGHT`S HIGH TIDE.

* AT SANDY HOOK, NEW JERSEY (SANDY HOOK BAY) HIGH TIDE OCCURS AT
  107 AM TUESDAY, WITH A FORECAST TIDE LEVEL OF 7.5 TO 8.0 FEET
  ABOVE MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.

* AT SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NEW JERSEY (OCEANFRONT) HIGH TIDE OCCURS AT
  1237 AM TUESDAY, WITH A FORECAST TIDE LEVEL NEAR 7.0 FEET ABOVE
  MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.

* AT ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY (OCEANFRONT) HIGH TIDE OCCURS AT
  1250 AM TUESDAY, WITH A FORECAST TIDE LEVEL NEAR 7.0 FEET ABOVE
  MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.

* AT CAPE MAY, NEW JERSEY (OCEANFRONT) HIGH TIDE OCCURS AT 124 AM
  TUESDAY, WITH A FORECAST TIDE LEVEL 7.5 TO 8.0 FEET ABOVE MEAN
  LOWER LOW WATER.

* AT LEWES, DELAWARE (DELAWARE BAY) HIGH TIDE OCCURS AT 159 AM
  TUESDAY, WITH A FORECAST TIDE LEVEL NEAR 7.0 FEET ABOVE MEAN
  LOWER LOW WATER.

* AT REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (OCEANFRONT) HIGH TIDE OCCURS AT
  1259 AM, WITH A FORECAST TIDE LEVEL NEAR 7.0 FEET ABOVE MEAN
  LOWER LOW WATER.

* HIGH TIDE ON THE BACK BAYS, ALONG DELAWARE BAY AND ALONG
  RARITAN BAY OCCURS LATER THAN THE HIGH TIDE ON THE OCEANFRONT.

* SEAS...WAVE HEIGHTS ON THE OCEAN WATERS ARE FORECAST TO RANGE
  FROM 10 TO 16 FEET WITH BREAKING WAVES EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 5
  TO 8 FEET. WAVES ON DELAWARE BAY ARE FORECAST TO BE 3 TO 7 FEET.

* IMPACTS...NUMEROUS ROADWAYS WILL FLOOD AND MINOR TO MODERATE
  PROPERTY DAMAGE IS LIKELY. THE TIDES AND WAVE ACTION WILL RESULT
  IN MODERATE TO SEVERE BEACH EROSION.

THIS COASTAL FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION
TO UPDATED FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO
PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF LOCAL
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS.
