* AT 1023 PM CDT...FLOODING IS STILL OCCURING IN LAWTON.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  LAWTON...GERONIMO AND FORT SILL.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNT OF 0.25 INCH IS POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED
AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS

* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Significant flooding to depths of 6 feet
  damages croplands...pastures...and rural roads along the river
  downstream of the U.S. Highway 177 bridge crossing...with lesser
  damage occurring upstream of U.S. Highway 177. The area affected is
  entirely rural...and downstream of Lake Thunderbird...from near
  Macomb in Pottawatomie County to near Bowlegs in western Seminole
  County.

* Forecast...The Canadian River will fall below flood stage early
  Friday morning and remain below flood stage through Satruday
  afternoon. The Canadian River will begin rising again... rise
  above flood stage Saturday evening... and and crest near 14.3 feet
  mid Sunday morning.

* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Flooding affects croplands...pastures...
  and oil wells near the river. Low-lying bottomlands near the river
  may be cut off from easy access by high water in side channels.
  Sand dredging operations are affected. Upstream points in southern
  Blaine County experience flooding before the areas near Bridgeport
  in northern Caddo County. Downstream points in southwestern
  Canadian County are affected hours later.

* Impact...At 34.0 feet...Flood depths up to 9 feet extend damages
  along the Washita River valley...from near Davis in Murray
  County...to near Dickson in Carter County...to the headwaters of
  Lake Texoma in Johnston County. Many homesteads could be flooded or
  isolated. About 7 thousand acres of agricultural lands are covered.
  Any flooding on tributary creeks is increased by backwater from the
  river.

  rural roads are affected.  Agricultural levees begin to overtop
  when the river stages rise above 23 feet. Though not flooded...
  some areas at the edge of the flood plain may be isolated by high
  water in side channels. Bottomlands near Charlie Texas begin to
  flood several hours before the crest reaches Terral Oklahoma...
  with flooding reaching the Illinois bend area near Leon Oklahoma
  several hours later.

  rural roads are affected.  Some low-lying areas near the river are
  isolated by high water in side channels. Bottomlands near Davidson
  Oklahoma begin to flood several hours before the crest approaches
  the Burkburnett area. The flood crest reaches the area along the
  river near Taylor Oklahoma several hours later. Cattle and other
  property should be relocated to places which are 3 feet higher than
  nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

  downstream points near Tipton much later. Flood depths approach 1

  crest reaches the Interstate Highway I-35 crossing north of

  property should be removed to places which are at least 10 feet
  higher than nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

CREEKS AND STREAMS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND LOW LYING AREAS AS WELL
AS THE MAJOR RIVERS TO FLOOD. THIS FLOODING WILL LIKELY CONTINUE FOR
MUCH OF THIS WEEK. AREA LAKES ARE NEAR OR SLIGHTLY OVER FULL
CAPACITY. HIGH RELEASES ARE REQUIRED AND THIS MAY FLOOD THE
DOWNSTREAM RIVER. ALSO...TRIBUTARIES THAT FEED INTO THESE RESERVOIRS

  Childress County

The Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River at Childress 10N has
risen to 10.20 feet at 7:45 pm, just above the flood stage of
10 feet. The river is forecast to crest at 10.3 feet late tonight
or early Friday morning before falling back below flood stage during
the day Friday. Runoff from severe thunderstorms Thursday night up
and down the Red River valley was causing this flooding.

  NORTHERN MEADE COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS...

* UNTIL 1245 AM CDT FRIDAY

* AT 320 PM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED CONTINUED FLOODING
  ACROSS THE COUNTY.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  MEADE...FOWLER AND MISSLER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES IN URBAN AREAS.
ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF
CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

  the Sulphur River Below Talco, Texas.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 815 AM Thursday The stage was 25.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 24.4 feet
  by Friday morning.  Also the river crested at 26.8 feet during
  Wednesday morning.
* Impact...at 25.0 feet...Expect moderate flooding of lowland areas
  with some secondary roadways closed. All cattle and equipment
  nearby the river should be moved to higher ground.

* until Tuesday evening...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 815 AM Thursday the stage was 17.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 17.6 feet by this
  Thursday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage early
  Tuesday morning.
* Impact...at 18.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding.  Move livestock and
  equipment to higher ground.

  Saturday evening.

  the Red River Near Dekalb, Texas.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 AM Thursday the stage was 34.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 34.5 feet by this
  Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...at 34.5 feet...Near record flooding of some twenty thousand
  acres will continue. Severe backwater flooding of Pecan and Nolan
  Bayous occurs. The U.S. highway 259 bridge approaches flood.  Texas
  highway bridges 8 and 37 will likely flood and close.  Move
  livestock and equipment to higher ground.
