THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 8 PM. THE FIRE WEATHER
WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING 2 PM TO 8 PM.

* WIND...NORTH 20 TO 25 MPH AND GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH.

* HUMIDITY...15 TO 20 PERCENT.

* TEMPERATURE...75 TO 83 DEGREES.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL LIKELY SPREAD RAPIDLY.
  OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

FIRES MAY START EASILY AND SPREAD RAPIDLY. REPORT SMOKE OR FIRE
TO YOUR LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT.

...GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CAUSE AN ELEVATED GRASSLAND FIRE
DANGER TODAY...

.A STRONG FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL SHIFT WINDS TO THE NORTHWEST THIS
MORNING. AS THE FRONT PASSES...WINDS SPEEDS WILL INCREASE TO 1 5
TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 30 MPH. THE DRYING NORTHWEST WINDS
WILL ALSO DROP RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES IN TO THE 20 TO 30 PERCENT
RANGE. GIVEN THE DRY FUELS ACROSS CENTRAL KANSAS...RAPID FIRE
GROWTH IS POSSIBLE.

WARNING FOR EXTREME GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING.

* EXTREME GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER...IS FORECAST.

* WINDS...NORTH 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AS LOW AS 20 TO 25 PERCENT.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL LIKELY SPREAD RAPIDLY
  AND BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT
  RECOMMENDED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES
CAN CONTRIBUTE TO EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR.
