...GALE FORCE WINDS AND ROUGH SEAS THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT...

.A STRONG WARM FRONT WILL MOVE NORTH ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS
AND SOUNDS TODAY AND TONIGHT. STRONG GUSTY SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL
BE SUSTAINED AT 25 TO 35 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 40 KNOTS THIS
EVENING AND TONIGHT. SEAS WILL BUILD TO AS HIGH AS 15 FEET.

A GALE WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO
4 PM EST MONDAY. THE GALE WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* WINDS...SOUTH 25 TO 35 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 KT.

* SEAS...8 TO 13 FEET.
* WAVES ON THE SOUNDS...2 TO 5 FEET.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.
