...SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE WEATHER EXPECTED SATURDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

THE FIRST COLD SYSTEM OF THE SEASON WILL CROSS NORTHERN NEVADA THIS
WEEKEND. IT WILL FEEL LIKE AUTUMN OVER MANY LOCATIONS. LOWER VALLEYS
MAY SEE MINIMUM TEMPERATURES NEAR FREEZING OR A HAIR BELOW. HIGHER
VALLEYS COULD BE IN THE TEENS. EVEN HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE
60S AND 70S...WITH SOME HIGHER VALLEYS ONLY MANAGING AROUND 60.

HIGHER MOUNTAINS...BETWEEN 8500 AND 9000 FEET AND HIGHER...WILL
LIKELY SEE SOME SNOW. THE HIGHEST RIDGES COULD GET AN INCH OR SO
OVER THE WEEKEND. THIS WILL NOT AFFECT ROADS BUT WILL BE A SHOCKER
TO UNPREPARED HIKERS AND CAMPERS AND SO FORTH. MOST OF THE SNOW
SHOWERS WILL BE IN RUGGED TERRAIN OF NORTHERN ELKO AND HUMBOLDT
COUNTIES AWAY FROM ROADS. STILL...WE WILL PROBABLY SEE SNOW ON
SOME PEAKS.

YOUR GARDEN PLOTS AND OUTDOOR PLANTS WILL BE IN DANGER OF A FROST
AT LEAST. BE PREPARED TO PROTECT THEM.

MORE INFORMATION WILL COME FORTH AS IT BECOME AVAILABLE OR IF THINGS
CHANGE.
