...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHERN CHARLOTTE COUNTY...

At 217 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Madisonville,
moving southeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Charlotte Court House...
Phenix...
Drakes Branch...
Madisonville...
and Abilene.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

COUNTIES AND THE EAST CENTRAL CITY OF LYNCHBURG...

At 142 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Oakville,
moving east at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Southwest North
Carolina...East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

...Risk of Severe Thunderstorms across the Plateau and southeast
Tennessee late Thursday and Thursday Night...
...Strong Mountain Wave High Wind Event is possible across the
mountains and foothills of far east Tennessee and southwest
Virginia Thursday night and Friday morning...

Another storm system will move across the Tennessee Valley
Thursday producing showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms
may become severe across the Plateau and southeast Tennessee by
late afternoon and evening.

Strong winds aloft will also develop Thursday night and continue
through Friday morning producing mountain wave high winds across
the higher elevations and foothills. Windy conditions are possible
across the far eastern Tennessee and southwest Virginia mountains
and foothills with southerly winds in excess of 60 mph possible.

northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia and west central Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Expect thunderstorms today, with an isolated threat that some will
become severe. Localized damaging winds and large hail are the main
threats, mainly late this morning into mid afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.
