...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM EDT SATURDAY FOR
GREENBRIER COUNTY...

AT 853 AM EDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED THAT ROADS REMAINED
FLOODED IN PARTS OF GREENBRIER COUNTY ESPECIALLY BETWEEN RUPERT AND
RANINELLE. IN ADDITION...AREAS OF STANDING WATER PERSISTED FROM
EARLIER RUNOFF AND IN THE VICINITY OF THE GREENBRIER RIVER AND ITS
TRIBUTARIES. WATER LEVELS SHOULD CONTINUE TO RECEDE THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON. HOWEVER MANY ROADS WILL LIKELY REMAIN IMPASSABLE DUE TO
PRIOR DAMAGE FROM EARLIER FLOODING.

ALLEGHANY...
LEWISBURG...
WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS...
RONCEVERTE...
AND RAINELLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

INCLUDING MUDSLIDES OR ROAD CLOSURES...TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER
