Kentucky...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Continue to monitor NOAA weather radio or your favorite local media
outlet for additional information. If you are in areas affected by
this forecast take necessary precautions.

The next update will be issued by 10 am Tuesday.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or is imminent.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Kentucky River near Ravenna.
* at 10:15 PM Monday the stage was 22.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  Wednesday afternoon.
* At 21.5 feet...Sang Branch Road is under water at Red Lick Creek.

  OWSLEY COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY...
  SOUTHERN MAGOFFIN COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY...
  BREATHITT COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY...
  SOUTHEASTERN LEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY...
  NORTHERN FLOYD COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY...

* UNTIL 700 AM EDT TUESDAY

* AT 659 PM EDT...HEAVY RAINFALL HAD ENDED ACROSS THE AREA...HOWEVER
  SLOW TO MODERATE RISES ON LARGER AREA CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL
  OCCUR THROUGH THE NIGHT...ALLOWING FOR CONTINUED FLOODING OF LOW
  LYING AREAS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  PRESTONSBURG...BOONEVILLE...MARTIN...ALLEN...BUCKHORN...
  CORNELIA...PORTSMOUTH...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.
