* PORTIONS OF CENTRAL MISSOURI...SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI AND
  SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN
  CENTRAL MISSOURI...MARIES...PHELPS AND PULASKI. IN SOUTH
  CENTRAL MISSOURI...DENT...HOWELL...OREGON...SHANNON AND
  TEXAS. IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...DOUGLAS...LACLEDE...OZARK...
  TANEY...WEBSTER AND WRIGHT.

* UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON

* RAIN WILL CONTINUE ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI AND THE EASTERN
  OZARKS THROUGH THE MORNING. RUNOFF FROM THIS RAIN WILL RESULT IN
  ADDITIONAL FLOODING IN SOME LOCATIONS ACROSS THE WATCH AREA.

* SMALL STREAMS...CREEKS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND AREA RIVERS
  WILL BE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLASH FLOODING.

  THOSE FLOATING OR CAMPING ON OR NEAR AREA RIVERS SHOULD BE
  ALERT FOR RAPID RISES OF WATER LEVELS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

  FOLLOWING AREAS...IN ARKANSAS...CARROLL...FRANKLIN...MADISON
  AND SEBASTIAN. IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...CHOCTAW...HASKELL...
  LATIMER...LE FLORE...PITTSBURG AND PUSHMATAHA.

* UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON

* AN AREA OF RAIN WILL GRADUALLY MOVE OUT OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS EARLY
  THIS MORNING. SOME POTENTIAL STILL EXISTS WITH THIS RAIN FOR
  RISES IN SMALLER STREAMS DUE TO THE VERY WET WEATHER OF LATE.

  ADDITIONALLY...RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN POSSIBLE ACROSS
  SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA THIS MORNING. ANY STORMS COULD HAVE THE
  POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WHICH COULD LEAD TO
  ADDITIONAL FLOODING PROBLEMS. THE OVERALL THREAT OF RAIN WILL
  DECREASE THIS AFTERNOON.

IF YOU ARE IN THE WATCH AREA...KEEP INFORMED...AND BE READY FOR

  DAYS...ANY RAINFALL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING FLASH FLOODING
  DUE TO THE ALREADY SATURATED GROUND.

* IN ADDITION...AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE ALREADY FLOODING OR
  NEAR BANK FULL. ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
  DRAIN INTO WATERWAYS...INCREASING THE THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING.
