  RAIN ON THE ORDER OF 3 TO 6 INCHES THAT PRODUCED WIDESPREAD
  FLOODING ACROSS THE AREA OVER THE PAST 4 HOURS. FLOODING WILL
  REMAIN A THREAT THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  KANSAS CITY...OVERLAND PARK...OLATHE...INDEPENDENCE...SHAWNEE...

flood warning for the following rivers in Missouri...

  Missouri River at Waverly affecting Carroll...Lafayette and Saline
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.This product along with additional weather

  The Missouri River at Waverly.
* from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning.
* At 10:30 PM Friday the stage was 16.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Saturday afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 20.4 feet by early Sunday morning. The
  river will fall below flood stage by late Sunday morning.

  BARRICADED ROADS AT 30TH AND LYON AND 40TH AND KIOWA NEAR PARSONS
  LAKE. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN FELL IN A
  VERY SHORT TIME EARLY THIS EVENING. BE ALERT FOR FLOODING ALONG
  LABETTE CREEK TO LAKE PARSONS...LITTLE LABETTE CREEK...BIG HILL
  CREEK...AND NEAR THE TOWN OF GALESBURG IN SOUTHERN NEOSHO
  COUNTY...AS ADDITIONAL EXCESSIVE RUNOFF OCCURS FROM STORMS EARLIER
  THIS EVENING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Black River At Pocahontas.
* until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Friday the stage was 20.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall to near 19.9 feet by Monday
  morning.
* Impacts at 20.0 feet...Flooding of backwater up tributaries is
  spreading into lands along the Current, Fourche, and Black rivers.
  Water is spreading towards the northern edge of the airport.
