THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA.

.DAY ONE... TODAY AND TONIGHT

GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL IMPACT THE SOUTH SANTA BARBARA
COAST LATE TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING WHICH WILL ALSO CREATE
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS. GUSTY WEST WINDS WILL AFFECT THE
ANTELOPE VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT CAUSING LOWERED
VISIBILITY DUE TO BLOWING SAND AND DUST ACROSS ROADWAYS. NORTH WINDS
WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE I-5 CORRIDOR THIS EVENING AND SPREAD INTO
THE SANTA CLARITA AND SAN FERNANDO VALLEYS TONIGHT. BY EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST AND A MODERATE SANTA ANA
WIND EVENT WILL BEGIN FOR THE USUAL WIND PRONE AREAS OF LOS ANGELES
AND VENTURA COUNTIES. BEACHGOERS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO A HIGH RIP
CURRENT RISK TODAY.

COAST EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WHICH WILL ALSO CREATE CRITICAL FIRE
WEATHER CONDITIONS. SANTA ANA WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST
THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK WITH STRONGEST WINDS OCCURRING EARLY MORNING
THROUGH NOON EACH DAY. THERE WILL CONTINUE TO BE FIRE WEATHER
CONCERNS WITH HEIGHTENED FIRE DANGER FOR LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA
COUNTIES. BEACHGOERS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO A HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK
FOR SUNDAY.
