THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN OUACHITA PARISH IN NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...
  SOUTHEASTERN UNION PARISH IN NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...

* UNTIL 400 PM CDT

* AT 104 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY
  AREA. TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY RECENTLY FALLEN
  ACROSS THE AREA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  MONROE...CLAIBORNE...WEST MONROE...BROWNSVILLE-BAWCOM...
  BROWNSVILLE-BAWCOMVILLE...SWARTZ...STERLINGTON...LOCH LOMON...
  FAIRBANKS AND GUTHRIE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS...PARTICULARLY IN THE CITY
OF MONROE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND
ALTERNATE ROUTES.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

From the National Weather Service in Little Rock ...The Flood
Advisory continues for
  The Arkansas River At Little Rock.
* until late tonight.
* At  9:00 AM Saturday the stage was 22.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near flood stage by Thursday.
  However, with heavy rainfall in Oklahoma and Arkansas recently,
  this forecast may be adjusted higher in the coming days.
* Impacts at 18.0 feet...Farmlands downstream of Little Rock are
  affected. The Bill Clark Presidential Park Wetlands are inundated.
  Portions of Burns Park, Cooks Landing, and the Arkansas River Trail
  on the North Little Rock side are inundated.
* Impacts at 21.0 feet...North Little Rock must close sewer system flood
  gates to prevent backwater flooding up sewers. Water will be encroaching
  on homes in Two Rivers Park area along the Arkansas River flood gates to
  prevent backwater flooding up sewers.
* Impacts at 23.0 feet...Bankfull stage. Rebsamen Park Golf Course, Murray
  Park, and Riverfront Park partially flooded. Marine terminal and commercial
  facilities downstream of the Interstate 30 Bridge are affected.
