...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MST THIS EVENING...

* AFFECTED AREA...THE GREAT SALT LAKE DESERT.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL REMAIN STRONG AT TIMES INTO THE MORNING THEN
  WILL BECOME MORE SUSTAINED AROUND NOON. THE STRONG WINDS WILL
  CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON BEFORE DIMINISHING IN THE
  EVENING.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE IMPACTED FOR LIGHT WEIGHT AND HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES ESPECIALLY ALONG I-80 ACROSS TOOELE COUNTY AND
  HIGHWAY 30 ACROSS NORTHWEST UTAH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST
31 MPH OR GUSTS OF 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED. MOTORISTS IN THE ADVISORY
AREA SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN GUSTY CROSS WINDS WHICH CAN
MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ELKO HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY...
WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 7 PM PST MONDAY.

* WINDS: NORTHWEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS NEAR 5O MPH.

* TIMING: STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

* IMPACTS: STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WILL MAKE TRAVEL
  DIFFICULT...WITH STRONG CROSS WINDS EXPECTED ON WEST-EAST
  ORIENTED HIGHWAYS SUCH AS INTERSTATE 80 AND U.S. HIGHWAY 6.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 MPH WITH GUSTS
IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE
DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE
EXTRA CAUTION.
