...WINTER STORM TODAY...

.AN ARCTIC FRONT WILL BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF FROZEN PRECIPITATION
TO CENTRAL ALABAMA TODAY. AREAS OF RAIN WILL BEGIN TO CHANGE OVER
TO FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET NORTHWEST THIS MORNING. THIS CHANGEOVER
ZONE WILL SLIDE SOUTHEASTWARD AND THE PRECIPITATION WILL LAST INTO
THE AFTERNOON HOURS. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED
ACROSS NORTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL ALABAMA. TEMPERATURES
ACROSS FAR NORTHWEST ALABAMA ARE NOT EXPECTED TO CLIMB ABOVE
FREEZING UNTIL FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* LOCATION...AREAS ROUGHLY ALONG AND NORTH OF A LIVINGSTON...TO
  ALABASTER... TO PELL CITY...TO ANNISTON LINE.

* ACCUMULATIONS...ICE ACCUMULATION OF LESS THAN ONE TENTH OF AN
  INCH IS POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR
FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS. SLOW DOWN AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. BE
PREPARED FOR AN UPGRADE TO A WINTER STORM WARNING IF NEEDED.

...A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR NORTHERN AND WESTERN
PARTS OF CHOCTAW COUNTY IN ALABAMA AND WAYNE COUNTY IN MISSISSIPPI...

.A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CENTRAL GULF COAST REGION
LATER THIS MORNING AND THIS AFTERNOON USHERING A MUCH COLDER AIRMASS
ACROSS THE REGION LATER TODAY AND OVERNIGHT. SOME AREAS TO THE NORTH
WILL DROP BELOW FREEZING WITH LIGHT RAIN CONTINUING RESULTING IN
FREEZING RAIN OR DRIZZLE IN SOME AREAS GENERALLY NORTH AND WEST OF
A LINE STRETCHING FROM BUTLER IN ALABAMA TO WAYNESBORO IN
MISSISSIPPI. AT THIS ICE ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED TO BE LESS THEN A
1/4 OF INCH. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO MONITOR THIS SITUATION CLOSELY
AND AVOID DRIVING IN FREEZING RAIN OR DRIZZLE.
