* From tonight through late Wednesday night
* At 9 AM Sunday the stage was 19.3 feet
* Flood stage is 20 feet
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to
  rise to near 21.8 feet by early Tuesday morning.the river is expected to fall
  below flood stage by Wednesday before midnight.
* Impact...at 22 feet...There is water over the roadway along the Elfers
  Parkway.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.6 feet on Mar 14
  2010.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.

  SOUTHWESTERN LAFAYETTE COUNTY IN THE BIG BEND OF FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 945 PM EDT SUNDAY

* AT 938 AM EDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED THAT FLOODING
  CONTINUES ACROSS MUCH OF DIXIE AND SOUTHERN TAYLOR COUNTIES. MANY
  ROADS ARE FLOODED AND THE FLOOD WATERS HAVE REACHED SEVERAL HOMES.
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 12 INCHES HAVE ALREADY OCCURRED
  ACROSS PORTIONS OF DIXIE AND TAYLOR COUNTIES WITH THE HIGHEST
  TOTALS ACROSS THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF DIXIE COUNTY. AN ADDITIONAL
  4 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED TO FALL TODAY. RAPID WATER RISES
  ARE NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME. HOWEVER...STANDING WATER WILL GET
  DEEPER THROUGH THE DAY.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS
ARE USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER
IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING

  Steinhatchee River near Steinhatchee (US 19) affecting Dixie and
  Taylor Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property. Do not drive cars through flooded areas. If you
see flood waters: Turn around. Don`t drown.

For graphical hydrologic information, please go to weather.gov and
click on your state. Select Rivers and Lakes AHPS under current
conditions and click on your river point.

The Flood Warning continues for
 the Steinhatchee River near Steinhatchee (US 19).* Until further notice.
* At  8:45 AM Sunday the stage was 13.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.2 feet.
* Forecast: The river will continue rising to near 15.8 feet by
  tomorrow morning. Additional rises may be possible
  thereafter.
* Impact: At 15.7 feet: Water has flooded all of River Road NE and
  Ancient Oaks private roads up to 3 feet deep in some areas. All
  houses and mobile homes now have water flowing underneath. Water is
  also flooding property and is under some houses on Cooey Island
  near Palm Street NE. Emergency management also reports that flooding is
  worse along lower stretches of the river south of the gage.
