THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING.


* VISIBILITY...WIDESPREAD VISIBILITIES ARE GENERALLY LESS THAN A
  MILE...WITH AREAS OF VISIBILITY DROPPING QUICKLY TO A QUARTER
  MILE OR LESS.

* IMPACTS...BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY.
  THE PATCHY NATURE OF THE FOG MAY DROP VISIBILITIES VERY QUICKLY
  IN A SHORT DISTANCE. IN ADDITION...VISIBILITIES MAY BECOME
  SEVERELY RESTRICTED NEAR RIVERS...LAKES...BRIDGES...AND LOW
  LYING AREAS.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOTORISTS SHOULD DRIVE WITH EXTREME CAUTION AND ALLOW ADDITIONAL
TRAVEL TIME. USE LOW BEAMS...REDUCE DRIVING SPEED...AND ALLOW FOR
PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN YOU AND OTHER CARS. YOU CAN OVERTAKE
ANOTHER VEHICLE QUICKLY IN POOR VISIBILITIES...SO SLOW DOWN AND
DRIVE DEFENSIVELY.

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING.

* VISIBILITY...IN DENSE FOG WILL BE REDUCED TO ONE-QUARTER MILE
  OR LESS AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...INCLUDE SUDDEN REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITIES...ESPECIALLY
  IN LOW-LYING AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN.
