AT 100 PM MDT...STREAM GAUGES SHOW THAT RAPID CREEK IS CONTINUING TO
RISE FROM HEAVY RAIN. RAPID CREEK AT DARK CANYON WAS AT 7.45 FEET...
JUST BELOW FLOOD STAGE OF 7.5 FEET.

PENNINGTON COUNTY DEPUTIES AND RAPID CITY POLICE HAVE REPORTED
FLOODING ON 32ND STREET NORTH OF JACKSON BOULEVARD AND 1 TO 2 FEET
OF WATER OVER LOW AREAS OF THE BIKE PATH...AND MINOR FLOODING ALONG
RAPID CREEK.

1 TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN OVER THE CENTRAL BLACK HILLS...
WITH RAIN CONTINUING AT 0.1 TO 0.3 INCHES PER HOUR THROUGH MID
AFTERNOON.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...JOHNSON
SIDING...HISEGA...RAPID CITY...RAPID VALLEY...CAPUTA...AND
FARMINGDALE. STREET FLOODING IS ALSO POSSIBLE THROUGH RAPID CITY.

  NORTHEASTERN CUSTER COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA...

* UNTIL 1030 PM MDT MONDAY

* THROUGH 1030 AM MDT...OVER 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN OVER THE
  CENTRAL BLACK HILLS. SPRING CREEK BELOW SHERIDAN LAKE IS
  RISING...WITH STREAM GAUGES SHOWING SPRING CREEK NEAR ROCKERVILLE
  IS APPROACHING FLOOD STAGE. STREAM LEVELS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE
  THROUGH THE DAY...AND INCREASE DOWNSTREAM TO THE CHEYENNE RIVER.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  ROCKERVILLE...AND FOLSOM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAIN WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND
STREAMS...AS WELL AS COUNTRY ROADS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

MDT MONDAY FOR SOUTH CENTRAL PENNINGTON AND NORTHEASTERN CUSTER
COUNTIES...

AT 1000 AM MDT...THE KEYSTONE FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORTED GRIZZLY BEAR
CREEK HAD FLOODED GRIZZLY GULCH ROAD SOUTHWEST OF KEYSTONE.  THE
STREAM GAUGE INDICATED THE STREAM IS ABOVE FLOOD STAGE OF 5.0 FEET
AND CONTINUING TO RISE AS RAIN IS FALLING AT THE RATE OF 0.10 TO
0.30 INCHES AN HOUR...WITH 1.50 INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE AREA SINCE
SATURDAY EVENING.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
HERMOSA...KEYSTONE...HAYWARD...CUSTER STATE PARK...US HIGHWAY 16A
SOUTH OF KEYSTONE...AND SOUTH DAKOTA HIGHWAYS 40 BETWEEN KEYSTONE
AND HERMOSA...HIGHWAY 36 WEST OF HERMOSA...AND HIGHWAY 87 THROUGH
CUSTER STATE PARK.

FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN BATTLE CREEK BETWEEN HILL CITY AND
KEYSTONE...GRIZZLY BEAR CREEK UPSTREAM OF KEYSTONE...AND GRACE
COOLIDGE CREEK THROUGH CUSTER STATE PARK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

CAMPERS SHOULD LEAVE CAMPSITES NEAR CREEKS IMMEDIATELY.

  The Laramie River near Fort Laramie
* The stage at 9 AM this morning was 7.3 feet. Water levels will
  rise today and Monday, and will crest around 7.9 feet at 6 AM
  Tuesday.

* Impact...at 8.0 feet...Water reaches the base of the bridge of
  Highway 160 immediately west of the Fort Laramie State Park
  property (about 1.5 miles upstream from the gage).
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 7.9 feet
  on Jul 3 1983.
