The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM...
  Coastal waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20
  NM...
  Tampa Bay waters...
  Waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 to 60 NM...
  Waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 1145 AM EDT.

* At 1045 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 6 nm east of
  Hernando Beach to 17 nm west of Indian Rocks Beach to 40 nm west of
  Egmont Key, moving east at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, damage
           vessels, and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all
           on board are in a secure location and wearing life
           jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots,
           suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy
           downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life
           jackets.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ozello, Crystal River, Clearwater Beach, Bayport, Madeira Beach
  Reef, Tarpon Springs, Yankeetown, D1 Reef, Indian Rocks Beach,
  Dunedin, Treasure Island Reef, Hernando Beach, Clearwater Pass,
  Port Richey, Anclote Key, Indian Shore Reef, Saint Pete Beach Reef,
  Pass-A-Grille Reef, and Aripeka.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for northern and
west central Florida...and the adjacent coastal waters.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 AM EDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA out 20 nm...
Waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA extending from 20 nm to 40
nm...

At 957 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 10 nm east of Betsy Ross Reef, or 14 nm
north of R7 Tower, moving northeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 35 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Edisto Offshore Reef...           Edisto Sixty Reef...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather
Service.
