...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE YENTNA AND
SKWENTNA RIVERS...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...The following areas, the Yentna and Skwentna Rivers and
their surrounding tributaries.
* WHEN...Through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- 1-3 inches of rain is expected in the headwaters of the
Yentna and Skwentna rivers through Monday morning. Near
bankfull conditions currently exist on the Yentna and
Skwentna rivers, resulting in a lower threshold for an
increase into flood stage.

- If you live near or along the Yentna and Skwentna Rivers stay
alert and be prepared to take action.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by last week`s excessive rainfall continues
to be possible. High river levels are expected to continue into
the upcoming week due to additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3
inches through Monday night.
* WHERE...Including the Kobuk River.
* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Water levels remain high.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Water levels in mainstem rivers remain elevated after last
week`s high water event. Continued light rain is preventing
low lying areas from draining quickly.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and northeast New
Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico,
South Central Mountains. In north central New Mexico, East Slopes
Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern Sangre de Cristo
Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands. This
includes the Ruidoso area and Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scars.
* WHEN...Through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and storms with rainfall rates up to 2 inches per
hour may result in flash flooding on and downstream of the
Ruidoso area and the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scars.
