.NOW...
Through 430 pm, a band of showers and embedded thunderstorms across
the offshore Gulf waters, western Straits of Florida, western Hawk
Channel, and the western Gulfside waters will continue to spread
north northeastward at 15 to 20 knots. The moderate rain will
continue for the Dry Tortugas. The stronger activity will be capable
of reduced visibility in moderate to heavy downpours, wind gusts near
30 knots, and, at times, frequent lightning strikes. Elsewhere,
widely scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms will be found
over the distant Florida Straits off of the Lower and Middle Keys.
