...LARGE AND POTENTIALLY DAMAGING SURF AT TIMES ALONG THE CENTRAL COAST
THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...

...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING FOR THE CENTRAL COAST THIS WEEKEND NEAR
TIMES OF HIGH TIDE...

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR EXPOSED WEST FACING SHORES IN VENTURA
AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES THROUGH SUNDAY...

A LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL WILL IMPACT THE CENTRAL COAST THROUGH
SUNDAY NIGHT. THE LARGEST SURF WILL OCCUR TODAY WITH 10 TO 15 FOOT
BREAKERS. SURF THIS LARGE WILL BE CAPABLE OF CAUSING SIGNIFICANT
BEACH EROSION AND POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO STRUCTURES SUCH AS PIERS. IN
ADDITION...THERE WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR MINOR COASTAL FLOODING
NEAR TIMES OF HIGH TIDE.

* SURF AND TIMING...SURF 6 TO 8 FEET. STRONG AND FREQUENT RIP
  CURRENTS ARE EXPECTED. HIGHER HIGH TIDE AROUND 6.5 FEET AT 800
  AM SUNDAY.

* LOCATION...ALONG EXPOSED WEST FACING SHORES ESPECIALLY FROM
  VENTURA TO POINT MUGU.

* IMPACTS...STRONG RIP CURRENTS IN THE VICINITY OF HIGH SURF.
  MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW DURING HIGHER HIGH TIDE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH
