STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR MOHAVE COUNTY...

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MST Sunday.

* AFFECTED AREA...In AZZ101...Fire weather zone 101. In AZZ102...
  Fire weather zone 102.

* TIMING...Sunday late-morning through Sunday evening.

* WIND...Southwest winds between 20 and 25 mph with gusts
  approaching 35 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Afternoon humidity values between 5 and 10 percent
  with overnight recoveries between 20 and 30 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Red
Flag Warning below 7000 feet for wind and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Sunday. A Fire Weather
Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch below
7000 feet for wind and low relative humidity is in effect from
Monday afternoon through Monday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 496 Color Country Mountains
  below 7000 feet.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph Sunday
  afternoon and evening. Gusts may increase to 40 to 45 mph
  Monday afternoon and evening.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 8 percent. Overnight recoveries
  will be poor, averaging around 20-30%. Humidities will trend
  upward Monday and may increase above 15% by afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are likely to occur.
  Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or are imminent. A combination of

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Red Flag
Warning for gusty winds and low humidity, which is in effect from
2 PM to 10 PM PDT Friday.

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 429 Lahontan Basin including
  Churchill and portions of Lyon Counties.

* Winds...Southwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Humidity...8 to 12 percent.

* Duration...3 to 7 hours.

* Impacts...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can
  cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first
  responders can contain them.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid outdoor activities that can cause a spark near dry
vegetation, such as yard work, target shooting, or campfires.
Follow local fire restrictions. Check weather.gov/reno for
updates and livingwithfire.info for preparedness tips.
