THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN DAWSON COUNTY IN WEST TEXAS...

* UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

* AT 727 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THAT
  A STORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY NEAR WELCH PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN
  WITH MORE THAN 2 INCHES HAVING FALLEN IN THE LAST HOUR IN THE
  WELCH AREA NEAR THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 137 AND STATE
  HIGHWAY 83 IN NORTHWESTERN DAWSON COUNTY.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO WELCH AND
  PRIDE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNED AREA... MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS... CREEKS... AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND
PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF
UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE.

  SOUTHERN REEVES COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS...
  SOUTHEASTERN CULBERSON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS...
  NORTH CENTRAL JEFF DAVIS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS...

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT

* AT 704 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG AND NEAR
  INTERSTATE 20 FROM NEAR TOYAH SOUTHWEST TO THE INTERSECTION
  OF THE INTERSTATE 20 AND INTERSTATE 10 SPLIT IN SOUTHWEST
  REEVES COUNTY. OTHER HEAVY RAINFALL WAS OCCURRING ALONG AND
  NEAR INTERSTATE 10 NEAR KENT EASTWARD TO THE INTERSTATE SPLIT.
  THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO TOYAH..
  VERHALEN...BALMORHEA...KENT...INTERSTATE 10 NEAR KENT AND
  INTERSTATE 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED WHICH COULD INCREASE THE POTENTIAL
FOR FLOODING IN THE WARNED AREA.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY.
