THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN WAYNE COUNTY IN UTAH...

* UNTIL 1030 PM MDT

* AT 734 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING
  HEAVY RAIN OVER THE CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK AREA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...CAPITOL
  REEF NATIONAL PARK FROM AROUND HIGHWAY 24 NORTHWARD...AS WELL AS
  TORREY AND FRUITA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND NOW. ACT QUICKLY TO PROTECT YOUR LIFE.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN SHERMAN COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF TEXAS...
  NORTHWESTERN HANSFORD COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF TEXAS...
  SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 1130 PM CDT

* AT 832 PM CDT...A SCHOOLNET SITE IN TEXHOMA HAS REPORTED OVER 2
INCHES OF RAINFALL OVER THE PAST HOUR WITH A LINE OF STATIONARY
THUNDERSTORMS.  ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED WITH AN ADDITIONAL
INCH OR TWO POSSIBLE.  FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY TO OCCUR OR IS
ALREADY OCCURRING.  RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE
OVER A PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME...EVEN IF THE RAIN SHOULD TAPER
OFF.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  TEXHOMA...            GOODWELL...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND HIGHWAYS. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING
AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.
