INTO SUNDAY MORNING BEFORE A COLD FRONT SWEEPS ACROSS THE AREA.
GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL DEVELOP BEHIND THE FRONT... ESPECIALLY ALONG
THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY FROM LAKE MOHAVE TO LAKE HAVASU SUNDAY.

A LAKE WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM PST /10 AM MST/ TO
4 PM PST /5 PM MST/ SUNDAY FOR THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY.

* WINDS: NORTH SUSTAINED 25 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 35 TO 40 MPH.

* TIMING: WINDS WILL INCREASE QUICKLY SUNDAY MORNING AND PEAK
  THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON BEFORE GRADUALLY DECREASING BY LATE
  AFTERNOON.

* LOCATIONS: COTTONWOOD COVE ON LAKE MOHAVE DOWN TO LAKE HAVASU.

* IMPACTS: STRONG WINDS IN EXCESS OF 30 MPH WILL CREATE
  DANGEROUS BOATING CONDITIONS ON AREA LAKES DURING THE
  ADVISORY PERIOD. THESE WINDS WILL CREATE VERY CHOPPY WATERS
  AND GENERATE LARGE WAVES WHICH COULD CAPSIZE OR SWAMP SMALL
  CRAFT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

FOR YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY...OPERATORS OF SMALL CRAFT ARE URGED TO
POSTPONE THEIR OUTINGS UNTIL THE WINDS SUBSIDE. IF YOU DO VENTURE
OUT ONTO THE LAKES...AVOID THE OPEN WATER AND STAY CLOSE TO SHORE
OR IN PROTECTED COVES AND INLETS.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40

* IMPACTS...THESE WINDS WILL MAKE OPEN WATERS OF THE LAKE ROUGH
  AND HAZARDOUS...AND MAY RESULT IN HIGH WAVES WHICH COULD TIP OR
  SWAMP SMALLER CRAFT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BOATERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION IF VENTURING ONTO FORT PECK
LAKE.  FOR YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY...AVOID THE OPEN WATERS. STAY
CLOSE TO SHORE OR AROUND PROTECTED AREAS.
