  SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO 15 TO 25 WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH.

* WAVE HEIGHTS ON LAKE TAHOE: 2 TO 5 FEET WITH HIGHEST WAVES ON
  NORTH AND EAST SHORES.

* SMALL BOATS WILL BE PRONE TO CAPSIZING AND SHOULD REMAIN OFF
  LAKE WATERS UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE.

* OTHER IMPACTS: WINDS WILL BE CAPABLE OF BRINGING DOWN TREE
  LIMBS AND MAY BLOW AWAY UNSECURED OUTDOOR ITEMS LIKE PATIO
  FURNITURE OR CAMPING GEAR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOTORISTS...ESPECIALLY IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES...SHOULD USE
CAUTION AND REMAIN ALERT FOR SUDDEN GUSTS OR CROSS WINDS. SECURE
OUTDOOR GEAR SUCH AS CAMPING GEAR AND PATIO FURNITURE. TREE LIMBS

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MISSOULA HAS ISSUED A LAKE WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM MDT SATURDAY.


* IMPACTS/TIMING: A STRONG COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE ACROSS WESTERN
  MONTANA SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING WILL CREATE GUSTY WINDS
  AND INCREASED WAVE ACTIVITY.

* WINDS: SOUTH-SOUTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH INTERMITTENT GUSTS TO
  35 MPH, ESPECIALLY DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS.

* WAVE HEIGHTS: 2 TO 3 FEET, LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES OF 4 FEET ALONG
  THE EASTERN AND NORTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF THE LAKE.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...FLATHEAD LAKE...FLATHEAD VALLEY...
   MISSION VALLEY...POLSON

A LAKE WIND ADVISORY INDICATES THAT WINDS WILL CAUSE ROUGH CHOP
ON AREA LAKES. SMALL BOATS WILL BE ESPECIALLY PRONE TO CAPSIZING.

NOTE...THE EXPERIMENTAL WAVE HEIGHT FORECASTS ARE REPRESENTATIVE
OF THE MID LAKE WATERS AND DOWNWIND SHORES. WAVE HEIGHTS MAY BE
SIGNIFICANTLY LESS ON UPWIND SHORES.
