Unsettled in the East; Bitter Cold Over the Upper Midwest

A strong cold front will push across much of the East Coast through early Wednesday. Behind it, much colder and drier air will return, after a period of rain and wet snow. Meanwhile, bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills will persist over the Upper Midwest into Wednesday.
