Heavy Rain Expected in the Northeast; Strong Thunderstorms Possible in Texas

A slow-moving low pressure center will shift into the Northeast today, bringing heavy rain to some areas, especially coastal Maine. The rain combined with snowmelt has increased the threat for flooding in parts of New England.
