Alberto will pose a variety of Hazards for the South over the Memorial Day Weekend

Subtropical Storm Alberto is moving through the Gulf of Mexico and poses several threats to the South. Heavy rainfall and inland flooding is expected in the Southeast on Sunday and into next week. Memorial Day: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 9am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9am and noon, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
