Severe thunderstorms are likely today across the northern Plains and into the upper Mississippi Valley. Gusty winds and dry conditions will result in widespread critical fire weather through Saturday across parts of the Four Corners region and the Great Basin. Saturday: Southeast winds around 5 knots. Seas 1 foot or less. Wave detail: south 1 foot at 6 seconds. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: South winds around 5 knots, becoming east after midnight. Seas 1 foot or less. Wave detail: east 1 foot at 3 seconds and south 1 foot at 5 seconds. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
