Dry and breezy conditions are expected in the western combined Panhandles this afternoon leading to elevated to critical fire weather conditions. Although chances are low there is a potential for strong to severe thunderstorms to develop in the far eastern combined Panhandles late this afternoon into evening. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threat, but cannot rule out a tornado. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected to return to the western combined Panhandles Saturday afternoon with elevated fire weather conditions possible Sunday afternoon. A slight chance to chance for thunderstorms exist for the combined Panhandles Tuesday night and again Wednesday night. Severe storms are not anticipated at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed late this afternoon into evening for the far eastern combined Panhandles. Area fire managers and emergency officials should be alert for elevated or critical fire weather conditions this afternoon and again Saturday as well as Sunday afternoon. $$
