167 NOUS45 KBOU 081852 PNSBOU COZ030>051-090900- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 1252 PM MDT Wed May 8 2024 ...Live NOAA Weather Radio Test with Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority... On Monday, May 13th at 6 PM Mountain Daylight Time, the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Boulder, Colorado will conduct a live NOAA Weather Radio test in coordination with the Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority (LETA). The test message will originate with LETA using the Demonstration (DMO) code which will not trigger the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and will not activate older NWR receivers with the 1050 Hz Warning Alarm Tone. The test message will be broadcast one time only on NWR stations WXJ45, KEC76, WXM92, WXM50, and WXM51. NOAA Weather Radios equipped with Specific Area Message Encoding (SAME) and programmed for Larimer County (location code 008069) will generally default to silence for this test message; this means the receiver will not activate with a warning tone, although your radio device will still visibly light up to highlight that a test message was received. When you use our homepage, www.weather.gov/bou, you will also see Larimer County highlighted for the DMO test message. In the event severe weather is forecast or occurring on May 13th, the test will not be conducted and will be postponed to another day and preceded by another Public Information Statement. $$ Heavener
