...A Preliminary Storm Survey is scheduled this morning for
Cleveland county east through Gaston county in North Carolina.

The survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved
through the area on Wednesday May 8th, 2024.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by this afternoon.

An additional Preliminary Storm Survey is scheduled for Friday,
May 10th, for a rotating storm that moved through Anderson,
far southern Greenville, and western Laurens counties across the
Upstate of South Carolina.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at http://www.weather.gov/gsp
